The Adventure Lodge project was a unique luxury adventure lodge in a backcountry setting with front country access in British Columbia, offering an experience not currently available in the market.

The Brief:
The idea for the Adventure Lodge was initially conceived in 2006 and considerable planning took place prior to the economic slowdown of 2008. Select Contracts was engaged in 2019 to reassess the opportunities of the project after its decade-long hiatus and to perform the conceptual design and business planning for the project.
Our Approach:
As part of the opportunity analysis, we considered the significant upgrades to the area that had taken place since the project’s inception prior to the 2010 Winter Olympics and assessed the steady growth that the region’s tourism market had experienced over the preceding 10-year period. We also assessed the competitive market of front and backcountry lodges with the whole of British Columbia to establish a series of project benchmarks that would inform the conceptual design and business planning of the project.
The Result:
The project aims to deliver 24 condo-style accommodation units, a restaurant and lounge area, a reception and “adventure centre” ticketing area, and conference and event facilities as part of the primary commercial scope.
