The New Zealand Experience Destination project involved determining the feasibility of a sightseeing, cultural tourism and agrotourism attraction on the North Island of New Zealand.

The Brief:

Select Contracts was engaged in 2018 to develop a Market Summary to determine the feasibility of an experience that is unique to New Zealand in the realm of agrotourism.

 

Our Approach:

To determine the feasibility of this project we assessed the size, origins, demographics and travel characteristics of the international visitor market to New Zealand and analyzed similar attractions within the North Island of New Zealand.

 

The Result:

We utilized the data gathered in the report to develop a market penetration forecast which shows the expected visitation from the sum of the different market segments. This market penetration forecast allowed us to run a financial feasibility case for the development, proving that a sustainable model existed.
