The Hill Academy Pacific is a proposed adventure/sports-based boarding school in the mountains of British Columbia. Located on a 39-acre site within the Sunstone Ridge development in Pemberton, British Columbia, Canada, this unique independent school will focus on combining premier academics, athletics and healthy active living.

The Brief:
Select Contracts was engaged in 2014 to perform market research, business planning and conceptual design for an independent school focused on adventure sports.
Our Approach:
To begin this process we researched available resident data within a 5-hour drive radii in order to identify the market size and opportunities present. We also conducted competitor research of independent schools located in British Columbia.
We used this research to developed a market forecast to determine the potential initial student numbers and the anticipated increase in over a 6-year period.
The Result:
When completed the school will include student boarding facilities with phased construction to meet demand, strength and conditioning training facilities, a farm garden, publicly accessible green spaces, parks & trails and access to the proposed multi-sport training facility currently under development.Â
