The knowledge and experience gained from developing our own mountain biking and sightseeing destination in Christchurch and from consulting on numerous others around the world were highly valuable in providing thoroughly researched and analyzed product and services recommendations.
The Brief:
Select Contracts was engaged to deliver a Market and Feasibility Assessment into a bike park in Scotland along with master planning and a financial business plan.
Our Approach:
In order to produce the Market and Feasibility Assessment we first performed market research on the demographics and cross-sector competition for the area. We were then able to analyze the products and services mix and associated revenue streams while considering the required trail mix. This allowed us to define the optimal operating model for a bike park in this location and demonstrate its commercial viability.
The Result:
The resulting proposal is a world-class mountain bike destination that would increase rider, hiker and sightseeing accessibility to the area. The park will include a high-speed lift and an expanded mountain bike and hiking trail network. It will be unique throughout Europe as the only place available for four-season, lift-accessed mountain biking.
