Waihi Boys School

Project Details: 

Waihi Boys School is a boarding school located on a 10-hectare site in the South Canterbury region of New Zealand. The school was looking to improve the school’s sport and activities offering to provide quality facilities for the students as well as open the site up for community use. 

 

How Did We Help: 

Select Contract’s experience producing business plans for the leisure and recreation industry and clear understanding of the New Zealand market, allowed us to provide cost-effective recommendations for expanding the school’s facilities.

 

The Brief:

Select Contracts was engaged to complete the conceptual design and business planning for the expansion of the school’s sports facilities.

 

Our Approach:

We analyzed the site to determine potential opportunities and limitations as well as investigated the local regional market. 

 

The Result:

With an understanding of the school’s vision and community needs, we provided comprehensive deliverables that would provide the school with much-needed amenities. Where possible, revenue options were provided to offset operating expenditures. The resulting sports facility was designed to provide a good return on investment, have minimal operational costs and foster a positive relationship with the local community.
