This project consists of a 9,000sqm addition to the Ajman Gateway Mall and includes an indoor botanical garden, indoor waterpark, tree-top ropes course including zipline and rope swing, relaxation spaces, rock climbing and a surf simulator.

The Brief:
Select Contracts was appointed in August 2016 to lead the market research, conceptual design and business planning for the leisure aspect of the Ajman Gateway Mall.
Our Approach:
This process began by collating and analyzing information concerning the leisure and recreation market in the Northern Emirates with the most attention on the market in Ajman, Sharjah and Northern Dubai which is the main catchment area for the Ajman Gateway Mall. Case studies were provided that demonstrated best practices in the field.
The Result:
This research informed the recommendation for high-quality, unique and commercially viable attractions to include in the Ajman Gateway Mall. The resulting conceptual design has strong business potential and is aligned with the client’s guiding ethos of family, sustainability, differentiation through skilled activities and passive participation.
